    The Flight Doctor
    Meeting All Your Aviation Needs

    The Flight Doctor was founded in 1985 in Burley, Idaho (BYI), in a small 40’X50′ facility that could accommodate one aircraft at a time. The shop had been around for many years and had accumulated an impressive collection of tools as well as stories. With those tools came the realization that we could provide quality aviation services to our valley. We started simple, with one customer at a time until the workload required more room. We then added an additional 80’X80′ workspace to the growing business.

    In 2001 The Flight Doctor expanded to Caldwell, Idaho (EUL), to provide the same quality services to general aviation aircraft while increasing our support for agricultural aircraft like AirTractor, Dromader M-18’s, and Thrush Aircraft. We also built out full support for (SEAT Planes) single-engine air tankers maintenance and conversions. This expansion led to installing turbine engines on a growing number of aircraft, and Turbine Installation, LLC. was formed to be the STC holder. Our services have continued to grow with satisfied customers on three continents.

    Saved my Bacon!

    I called Tim back in March 2020 when my overhauled engine didn’t come with a bench test sign off, and the local FBO that had my plane wouldn’t perform one. He came out and installed the engine and signed off on the bench run. I highly recommend Tim and his company. Very professional and timely service.

    Rescued far from home!

    While flying with my wife and daughter from Ogden UT to Caldwell Idaho, we lost our engine forcing us to land at a distant airfield. It was a stressful time for us, but we were very fortunate that Tim was available to help us put the pieces back together. The Flight Doctor did an immaculate job with the engine rebuild and catered to our every need. Tim walked us through the rebuild process, giving several tours, and answered every question as thoroughly as one could ask for. Once the engine was ready, they drove the two-plus hours for the install. Tim was happy to make the first flight with me as we brought our Arrow home. It was flawless. Tim was easy to work with and helped my wife feel at ease and comfortable to fly again. I would not hesitate to use Tim’s services again in the future.
